Analysing Film Posters - Introduction
I am going to be creating a poster for my film's marketing campaign, so I want to conduct analysis into posters so I am familiar with their general conventions.
I have chosen to look at the layout and conventions of five posters for films from completely different genres so that I can spot consistencies in layout, design and conventions that occur in posters, regardless of the genre the film belongs to. Once I have decided which genre my marketing campaign will belong to, I will look more carefully at how genre conventions are presented in posters.
The five posters I am going to look at are from the following films:
'The Room Next Door' - (Psychological Drama)

'Nosferatu' - (Horror)

'Gladiator II' - (Epic)

'The Black Sea' - (Comedy/Drama)

'Bridget Jones's Diary' - (Romantic Comedy)
