Rough Outline/Shot List for My Theatrical Trailer

Now I have established my idea for my film and the outline of events in my theatrical trailer, I have written a very rough shot list, which I will develop before filming.

TEACHER: Lots of shots of teacher talking/telling the students off (reading the monologue) at the front of the class. Some close ups, possibly some low angle shots to make him look dominant/menacing/angry. Also some medium close ups and medium shots. 

He also needs to record the monologue separately – in case parts of the scene (the shots on the others) need to use the audio (over close ups/medium close ups of each student). 

Also – a shot(s) of the teacher lying on the floor – long/medium long shot, probably a close up of his face. Maybe do these floor level, but also high angle/bird’s-eye-view?

STUDENTS: Each of the students has the following routine of shots:

Close up/medium close up of them at their desk – doing something that instantly reflects the character type they are in the film’s narrative (Jock in sunglasses, doing something ‘Jocky’; Princess doing her nail polish, chewing gum; the nerd busy writing or typing, with glasses on; the Stoner asleep, wakes up with a start etc). 

Then a shot of each one leaving the room and walking down the stairs (also, maybe have them walking back up the stairs?). 

Then shots of each one trying to get out of the building (in a different bit of the building), close ups of hands on door handles, them banging on the door, clearly trapped – shot from inside, but also from outside?

Then the main protagonist (the Nerd/Final Girl?) comes back up the stairs, comes into the room, begins saying ‘Sir, we can’t get out'…pushes open the classroom door and see’s the teacher lying on the floor – close up, reaction shot – turns and runs down the stairs shouting.
